The Tri-Town region of Bethlehem, Littleton and Franconia has three amazing mountain bike trail networks that total almost 100 miles of trails. Plus, the Cross New Hampshire Adventure Trail comes through Littleton and
Bethlehem connecting us, and miles of other trails and towns via the rail-trail.  And we have the Franconia Notch Bike Path with spectacular views of Profile and Echo Lakes as you ride through the Notch!

We’re in the process of connecting the three trail networks via the Profile Safe Routes to School initiative which will allow riders to go from one network to the other via off-road trails. Until it’s complete, we have great roads and paths to connect them as each offers great riding for all levels of riders.

Both Littleton and Franconia have pump-tracks to practice on, while Bethlehem has a pump track and skills park for entry level and more advanced riders.

You will love the endless possibilities of trails to ride year-round as they’re also groomed for fat-tire riding in the winter. Any time of year, while you’re catching your breath, take a moment to enjoy the amazing views from all the trails.

Our partners at Adaptive Sports of the North Country have also noted that all three trail systems can be ridden on adaptive bikes. If you need to borrow an adaptive bike, please reach out to them at

https://adaptivesportspartners.org/ and they’ll be more than happy to get you set up, and even provide
instruction, if needed.

Many of the trails go through private land, and we are extremely grateful to those that allow it. Please
be respectful to their land, the trails, and to other riders. Always Ride with Gratitude!

There are no fees to ride on any of the trails.

Bethlehem Trails Association

The Bethlehem Trails Association is a group of Bethlehem residents and outdoor enthusiasts who one day realized they had been privately sharing the same vision: a fantastic network of trails spinning through our small mountain community.

Once we stumbled upon this dream together, it was just too good to let it go.

Too impossible to consider life without BTA being fully realized. So here we are!

We now have almost 20 miles of fantastic trails for beginners and advanced riders alike. One rider recently described them as:

“the best trails he’s ridden in the Northeast…they’re flowy, well designed and fun to ride.”

Parker Mountain Trails

PRKR’s success is rooted in community partnerships.  They do not charge any

fee for use of the trail network, staying true to their mission of truly community-based trails. They are very aware of the benefit their trail network can bring to local merchants and small businesses and actively seek to partner with those organizations whose mission and motivations match their own.

PRKR MTN Trails is an almost 30 mile network of hand built community-driven mountain bike, hiking, skiing, and running trails in Littleton, New Hampshire. While the primary use of the trail network is mountain biking, it is designed and operated in a way that welcomes all types of uses.

In 2017, they worked with the Town and other volunteers to build a large

pumptrack for riders to hone their skills, and to install new trailhead parking

just outside of town at the top of School Street. The pumptrack and trails are

great for new and beginner riders as well as challenging, difficult, and fun for

the experienced rider.

Franconia Area Trails

Franconia Area NEMBA was founded in 2015 to help steward, promote and
improve the extensive network of trails in the Ammonoosuc Valley, which run
north and west of Franconia Notch. The Ammonoosuc Valley extending from
Bretton Woods to the Connecticut River offers extensive riding opportunities with gentle terrain in the valleys and challenging single tracks in the hills with stunning vistas along the way.

The Profile Trails Network includes the trails in the Franconia, Easton, Sugar
Hill region with connections planned to neighboring towns of Bethlehem and
Littleton. The center of the network is Dow Park and Fox Hill in the village of
Franconia. There are restrooms in the new visitor’s center in the Town Hall
parking lot.

Cross New Hampshire Adventure Trail

The Cross New Hampshire Adventure Trail goes 83 miles across Northern New Hampshire on rail trails, dirt roads, bike paths and quiet paved backroads that have been linked together to
produce a route across the state of New Hampshire.

From Bethlehem, you can access the rail trail portion of the route and ride almost 30 miles to Woodsville along a beautiful river and through many Towns, including Bethlehem and Littleton.

The trail is great for families, or a more leisurely ride, yet safely off the roads if
you’re not comfortable riding on the roads.

The route travels along river valleys and through the northern White Mountains Region of the state. Do a piece of the trail from Bethlehem or Littleton, or spend a few days and do
the whole thing! Possibilities for riding in the area are endless!

Franconia Notch recreation path

The Franconia Notch Recreation Path runs the length of the Franconia Notch State Park in the White Mountain National Forest. Commonly called the Recreation Path, the 8.7-mile trail visits most of the park’s attractions, such as the Old Man of the Mountain Historic Site, Echo Lake, and Flume Gorge.
